School Transfer Information

Changes to Local Policy FDB:

Admissions:  Intradistrict Transfers and Classroom Assignments were approved by the AISD Board of Trustees on April 27, 2015.  The changes impact the admission of priority transfers into frozen schools (i.e., schools with no available space).  There are three types of priority transfers:  majority-to-minority, sibling, and tracking.

Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, in an effort to relieve overcrowding, majority to minority transfers will only be accepted at campuses where space is available.  Space is not available at frozen campuses.
Elementary schools: Baldwin, Baranoff, Barrington, Becker, Blazier, Brentwood, Casis, Clayton, Cowan, Davis, Doss, Gullett, Hill, Kiker, Menchaca, Oak Hill and Webb Primary

Requests for in-district student transfers for the 2016–17 school year may be submitted in person or by mail to the Office of Student Services. Requests will be accepted Jan. 4–29, 2016; all requests submitted during that time will receive equal consideration.

The district will begin accepting requests for out-of-district transfers Feb. 1, 2016.

Cunningham is not a school that has a freeze on transfer. Cunningham is accepting Transfers. One must still follow the protocol of submitting the form between January 4 – 29, 2016 to Students Services at Central AISD Offices.
